Constitutional Division: Supreme Court Limits Executive Authority Over Import Duties

WASHINGTON D.C. — In a landmark 6-3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the executive branch exceeded its statutory authority by imposing broad reciprocal tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) of 1977.
